We have two operational sectors on top of Sandia Crest (+10000’), third sector will be located on another tower further north: • Uses NV2 TDMA mode • Use the 10 MHz or 5 MHz in 10 MHz channels frequency plan with 120 degree sectors • Network is routable (IPIP) on the Internet. 73 de N5HC /Conny

I am using a 9db omni directional antenna on a ubiquiti bullet m2hp, ethernet cabled to my wrt54g as a bridged repeater in my rv. Set up as a wifi hotspot for now, in preparation for a Broadband Hamnet mesh node. Future HamWan Site

Hello HamWan, I apologize if I am sending this email to the wrong address. My name is Michael Elias and I am the club secretary for the Saginaw Valley Amateur Radio Association. We have recently been approved for a grant to upgrade our repeater and implement a HamWan style system. The grant was for $26,000 with $20,000 of that money allotted to the HamWan system. This is the largest project our club has ever attempted and although we are currently working with Central Michigan Emergency Network and the Mi6Wan, there is serious concern that we will not be able to complete this project. I am contacting you in advance of our monthly meeting to ask if you would be willing to help us with this project and if so, how much and what type of help we could expect from you in accomplishing this project? I understand you currently know nothing about the project or what we are trying to accomplish so I don't expect you to give specifics or details. Our club meeting is this Friday, September 2. Although the grant has been approved, our general membership still needs to vote on accepting the grant money and committing to the project. I am putting together a presentation for this meeting to answer questions and address concerns. I am trying to make this presentation as complete as possible and if you like I can send you a copy when it is complete. Yes, I have read that HamWan is 5.9ghz. I am in a valley in Lake City that is in the <-70db area of the HamWan map. I am interested in procuring some HamWan equipment. The basics appear to fit in my near future budget. I am hoping to get involved with my fellow ham community. Broadband Hamnet is a 2.4 GHz mesh network that is not compatible technology wise with HamWAN. I'm in Shoreline and interested in HamWAN, however my site has alot of trees.I'm concerned there might be too many trees surrounding my site to connect. I just implemented this here in Florida. It's actually not that hard, and it would be trivial to implement OTP or token based auth if you wanted to get really fancy.
