*Greetings. Here in Yakima we use the AREDN.ORG <http://AREDN.ORG> firmware
with Ubiquiti radios on 2397Mhz. I realize the HamWan is a different beast,
however we are looking at expanding our network. Currently we are just in
Yakima, Selah and getting into the lower valley toward tri-cities. There is
also a tunnel to the Walla Walla mesh network. I would like to open a
dialog with you folks about possible future expansion state wide as well
and advise on updating out network. *

It's that magical time again, when we get to expand network coverage!
The Beacon Hill
<http://hamwan.org/Puget%20Sound%20Data%20Ring/Potential%20Sites/Beacon.html>
site should fill in the southern parts of Seattle, but more importantly
it will connect Seattle EOC with King County EOC! Here is the bill of
materials required to make it possible:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1C2OiwIpCKqpeY_0NDREa1d8UzC3s1fEoRSa…
This does not include the cost of the dish + modem on the SeaEOC side to
uplink to Beacon Hill. For that, replicate the first 3 items once more.
A few of these items are going to run out shortly, and one (sector
shields) is out of stock everywhere. Can we start stockpiling? It'll
likely be a month before we can execute due to PoE PDU latency and
shield latency.
We have cable + RJ45s left over to do this site. Cable clamps are not
required here. A rack is available for this site, and I'll provide the
server.

Will do. Might take me a couple days as I’m working early & late and likely through the weekend. Will have to dig up the paperwork.

Can you publish your inventory in a gSheet, along with prices? I agree it's important to have a site in stock.

Bart,
I ordered most of a full site back around Christmas when they had the free shipping going on. I’ll need to do an inventory to balance against your list but we should be closer than you thought.
In general though, I think it would be a good idea to have 1 site available in advance to not only take advantage of the shipping deals when they happen, but to protect against out of stock issues and have spares onhand.
