My research indicates the -US model is locked out in a way that we can not undo, but others have hinted that it works for AREDN firmware. I haven't had a problem with the RB912 (but it's been a while since I've ordered one). If it will tune up to 5920 MHz than you're good to go for HamWAN. If not, return it and order the ROW version from Streakwave. Tom
