Dear HamWAN Community, I have had the honor of serving as a Director on the Board for HamWAN since early 2014, and as Chairman since 2015. Over the years the HamWAN network has had a lot of growth in both community and footprint, and I’m extremely proud of the work the team has done, the capabilities we’ve built, and the partnerships we’ve forged. The last year saw some significant challenges to a number of local amateur radio groups, including HamWAN. We’ve weathered through them reasonably well, and I look forward to seeing how HamWAN continues to grow in the future. However, with the increase in responsibilities in my personal life, as well as the growth of my family over the last few years, the time I am able to dedicate to HamWAN has diminished, and I’m unable to give it the attention it deserves. As such I am resigning from the board of directors effective today. I plan to remain part of the community, and continue to help with the technical management of the network as my time allows. I will of course be happy to answer questions and be available to the team to help in the transition, but it’s time for someone else to take the reins.
