Please think of HamWAN as a system of interconnects to your amateur gear, capable of avoiding the internet entirely, that happens to have an internet gateway for backward compatibility with clients that are not connected to HamWAN. We hope you will encourage your users to connect directly to HamWAN from their QTH.
