All-- Is there a list anywhere of EOCs that are either connected, or have plans to connect to the network? If not, can EOC folks respond back and I will start a list? -- *-Scott, NS7C*
I can create a shared doc on the HamWAN Google Drive for collecting this information. We should capture HamWAN connectivity data including links, capabilities including IP phones and numbers, and contact information. If you would like to contribute to the document, please request access to via this link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RD2r_50pTUSNMtpd9_ge6uRoDWo96CCz2x23Q0Yz... Please feel free to provide suggestions for document format changes (or just make them if they just make sense). Access will be restricted to vetted EOC representatives and HamWAN netops/board. -Doug- On Tue, Apr 23, 2019 at 8:42 AM Scott Currie <scott.d.currie@gmail.com> wrote:

Steve, At first glance, quite a bit of your needs can be covered by the Larch Mtn site. I need to look back through my emails but you do have an Oregon HamWAN group starting up down there that may have sites they are looking at that will fill in the rest. Paul, I looked over the Hamshack Hotline website and after I registered I was able to get a list of supported phones that they use. The phone system they use is a SIP system, similar to ours. The phones >should< be compatible. That said, many of us have been using the SNOM phones instead of the Cisco phones. In many phones it is possible to configure multiple phone systems – for example it may be possible to configure your Cisco phones to use both the Hamshack Hotline system AND HamWAN. That said, it could create confusion for people using them as the phone and/or extension numbers may overlap, or programming for both systems may create issues. Without myself or one of the other admins getting a HH compatible phone, programming, and testing it, there is no real way to know. In short, it appears possible, but not without wrinkles. To keep things simple, I would probably keep separate phones. Not necessarily the most optimal for crowded spaces, but you also don’t want IT snafus taking out access to both phone systems. I’ll do some more looking when I have time and may set one up in the shack. Randy, Thanks for the note. I am more than willing to come over and do a presentation at some time if you think it would help. It would be very worthwhile to build a local hub for your uses and get people up and running. We can always tunnel you into the rest of the system until we get direct/live links.
