HamWAN and BEARS are happy to announce that there is a new HamWAN cell site activated at West Tiger Mountain (the Boeing radio site). The sectors are in a temporary location pending installation on a higher tower mounting, but they are already attracting connections, particularly from clients that would have otherwise connected to East Tiger. If you note connections you did not expect from your client or are experiencing connection issues related to East/West Tiger Mountain, this could be the cause. You may want to steer your client to one or the other. West tiger coverage will improve when the sectors get moved up on the tower. That will be some weeks from now as it needs to be scheduled with the installers. West Tiger has a 10Ghz link to Capitol Park and link to Everett in the works but not installed yet. -Doug- HamWAN Netops
