VOTE: Dump all cash except $50 into debt
Hello, To curb our interest rate problem on about $3500 of high-interest debt, I'd like to propose we dump all cash into the debt we hold. Except $50 left in Key Bank to maintain it. This is about $1300, and will leave us unable to make further maintenance payments until more funds come in. My vote it yes. --Bart
Question: Should we only save $50 in the account, or save $100-$200 to cover a couple more months' payments to see if we can get some additional donations in the meanwhile? Hi Rob, I've worked with MicroHAMS behind the scenes here and they agreed to change terms on their donation so that we may receive it now. We've also received a substantial donation from one new individual donor. Between our cash, MicroHAMS coming through, and the large donation, we should be able to cover all our debt and leave $100 cash remaining. Phew! The immediate problem should be solved now, but still, long-term funding has to improve.
