Re: [HamWAN PSDR] 5SHPn modems in stock @ r0c-noc
How about links for best cost/performance antennas-- Dish, omni, and sector? Also I saw a powerpoint slide that mentioned a 16db dish antenna with 1.25 w transciever combo unit that was $94. Im an anxious newbie that wants to get experimenting. Paine is on the air, and we're gonna need some alpha testers. --Bart _______________________________________________ PSDR mailing list PSDR@hamwan.org http://mail.hamwan.org/mailman/listinfo/psdr_hamwan.org

It could use some improvement/elaboration, but that's the point of these pages: https://www.hamwan.org/t/tiki-index.php?page=Directional+Antenna+-+High+Gain https://www.hamwan.org/t/tiki-index.php?page=Directional+Antenna+-+Client+No... https://www.hamwan.org/t/tiki-index.php?page=Antenna+Shootout The antenna that a number of us has purchased is from Poynting: http://www.titanwirelessonline.com/Poynting-5-8GHz-31dBi-Grid-p/at-30gr-58.h... Here are the measurements: https://www.hamwan.org/t/tiki-index.php?page=Poynting+K-GRID-003-06 My coverage plots have been based on those measurements, so coverage with lower gain antennas will be reduced.
