HamWAN Board Director Election 2021 - Cory Johnson & Nigel Vander Houwen
Hello Everyone, As per my usual procedure, I have reached out to my fellow board members to confirm who would like to serve again if elected and combined our emails to reduce email mess, and I have heard from Cory in the affirmative. I encourage my other fellow board members to run as well, and I hope to have the opportunity to work with you over the next year. Cory Johnson has acted as our Treasurer/Secretary for a number of years, and whose efforts have truly been invaluable. Cory handles the finances, makes sure the taxes get filed, and the bills get paid. Thank you Cory for your continued help! Nigel Vander Houwen (me) has been a board member for several years, managing contracts, and serves as the chairman (tie breaking vote we’ve thankfully never needed). He also typically manages these sorts of public communications and processes (like these elections). He has also been part of the network operations team for many years helping to architect, build, and operate the network here in Puget Sound. The voting period for Cory and Nigel will conclude 7 days from now. Supporting members, please reply in this thread with your Yea, Nay, or Abstain votes. Remember that each individual is a separate election, you do not have to choose one individual. Thank you all for your consideration, and I hope to have the opportunity to work with you further over the next year. Nigel Vander Houwen
My votes as a supporting member are as follows: Cory Johnson: Yea Nigel Vander Houwen (myself): Abstain Thanks, Nigel

I vote YEA for each of the following who have indicated a desire to continue: Nigel Cory Rob May I ask who is on the current board that so far has not expressed a desire to remain, or if there are any new candidates? From the email thread so far, the above three candidates are all that I have seen express an intent to be part of the Board. I will vote going forward as individuals express their interest/intent.
