Anyone have any historical data from sectors that get their antennas iced up? I see up to 10dB reduction in signal levels. But strangely not in all directions. Conny Jonsson N5HC A Multi-Megabit IP Network
Conny, You can take a look at our various sites on the monitoring site to see how they fare on a seasonal basis https://monitoring.hamwan.net Rob From: PSDR [mailto:psdr-bounces@hamwan.org] On Behalf Of N5HC Sent: Saturday, November 23, 2019 10:15 AM To: Puget Sound Data Ring Subject: [HamWAN PSDR] Icing and signal level. Not familiar with your sector locations. What site would be most likely to have experinced most icing issues?

Baldi and Haystack get icing and have a couple years worth of signal level history. They don't tend to stay iced for long though. They will ice up during a storm and then melt out pretty quickly once the storm is over. We do not have any data on which days they were iced, so you may not be able to complete a very useful study of ice effects on our historical signal levels. Tom
The https://monitoring.hamwan.net site is very nice. I don't see my host (N7CS) listed as a client under the Snohomish DEM tree. Does this mean I don't have the remote diagnostics setup correctly on my modem or is there some other problem causing it not to show up? I've had it turned off for a few weeks, but powered it back up a few hours ago. Burt (B.J.) Guillot N7CS On Sat, Nov 23, 2019 at 12:49 PM Rob Salsgiver <rob@nr3o.com> wrote:

Burt, Unfortunately at this point adding items to the monitoring & maps system is a manual process, and not every client is on there (nor really *has* to be). If you would like to be added, just send a quick note to that effect to the admin team (netops@hamwan.org <mailto:netops@hamwan.org>), and one of the team can get you added. Thanks, Nigel
