New HamWAN connection for Port Townsend
Hello all, We put up our first HamWAN connection today at Cape George (Port Townsend) WA for the Jefferson County Amateur Radio Club (W7JCR). The client configuration instructions on the hamwan.org site worked perfectly. Link is 40.2 mi. -74dbm connected to Triangle Sector 2. Using a 2ft dish (30dbi) and radio is Basebox 5 International, RB912UAG-5HPnD-OUT Radio is on a rooftop 30ft above ground with clear LOS to Victoria and Triangle. 73 John, W0JCM w0jcm@arrl.net

Bart, Thanks! The process of tightening everything down seems to have knocked the alignment out just a bit (The signal strength dropped to about -84dbm). So I think we should be more solid once I can get back up on the roof top and fine tune.
