Hello, With Blyn's backbone dishes (NOT sectors yet) on the air, there's a mission to Triangle this weekend to install a dedicated dish that points at Blyn. This will provide a high speed link all the way from Triangle to the rest of the network via Blyn and SnoDEM. Given the new bandwidth capacity, running a PTZ there is finally viable. The tower owners have agreed to let us add a PTZ there to help with remote diagnostics and user LoS verification. The costs of this spend request are as follows: PTZ: $460 PSU: $50 TOTAL: $510 Shipping and taxes extra. My vote is YEA. I expect we'll be doing more of these upgrades to our sites, as man-power allows for installations. --Bart

I'm not board, and don't vote, but want to ask what brand/model of PTZ do you use at these sites? Thanks, Carl, N7KUW -----Original Message----- From: PSDR <psdr-bounces@hamwan.org> On Behalf Of Bart Kus Sent: Friday, July 17, 2020 12:29 PM To: Puget Sound Data Ring <psdr@hamwan.org> Subject: [HamWAN PSDR] VOTE: PTZ for Triangle site Hello, With Blyn's backbone dishes (NOT sectors yet) on the air, there's a mission to Triangle this weekend to install a dedicated dish that points at Blyn. We have a variety of models deployed, but current preferred model is this: https://sunbatech.com/product/sunba-illuminati-auto-tracking-ptz-camera/ Our older cams produce slightly corrupt H264 streams, but this one seems clean so far. Some of our older cams also can't handle simultaneous RTSP streaming (for re-broadcast) and HTTP streaming if someone's logged into the cam controlling it. This one doesn't appear to have that problem. It also supports HTTPS, and direct streaming to YouTube. I believe all these improvements are because it appears to run a firmware quite different from all the other Sunba models. It looks like Hikvision, but without Hikvision prices. Gold Mtn should totally get one of these! --Bart On 7/17/2020 1:21 PM, Carl Leon wrote:
