I took advantage of the rain free days and mounted my dish this weekend. I've roughly aligned by sight and level. I have a new dedicated computer on order which should arrive this week. How critical is alignment going to be for me? Thanks in advance! This list has been very helpful to me. Ric, Mount Vernon
Ric, Now sure which dish you got, but most have a 2 or 3 degree beam width, so that is how accurate the alignment needs to be assuming you are several miles away from the node. Thanks Kenny On Sun, Oct 27, 2019 at 5:08 PM Ric Merry <ricmerry@gmail.com> wrote:

Most of the routerboards (radios) have LED indicators. If your alignment is close, you should see at least one or two of the signal level LEDs lit. You can do a lot of alignment just using the LEDs. Adjust azimuth and elevation back and forth (very slowly) for peak indications. Once you have a PC available, using WINBOX you can connect to the dish and get exact signal level so you can align for maximum.
