It appears Gold Mountain went off the air yesterday afternoon. I've lost my personal connection, and the Seattle EOC lost its link to Gold, so two independent connections went down at the same time and have remained down. Very sorry to see the loss of this link, and hopefully over time HamWAN will be able to either return to Gold, or find a roughly comparable site. Carl, N7KUW
Yes, I can confirm that all HamWAN equipment has been removed from Gold Mountain at DNR's request. Thanks to the crew (Daniel Stevens, Dylan Ambauen, and Bob Amos) who attended for this activity. Apologies to anyone else who assisted that I am not aware of. The site was valuable to Seattle and surrounding areas and we are looking for alternative locations with similar coverage. Please contact netops@hamwan.org if you have firm ideas or can make suitable introductions. We are unlikely to consider DNR locations for the foreseeable future. -Doug-, KD7DK HamWAN Netops On Sun, Nov 21, 2021 at 9:35 AM <carl@n7kuw.com> wrote:

Those who are affected may be able to explore Buck mountain as an alternative. Compared to Gold, Buck Mountain sits NW and if memory serves, at a higher elevation. Attached highlighted map in Blue shows potential coverage areas.
