Hi, I'm new here, living outside of Duvall, WA. My nearest repeater is Haystack. Anyone could tell me how to find out coverage without buying hardware? 73 de AI7TX / OK2DB Sent from my iPhone
Thanks for contacting us. Please join psdr@hamwan.org so you can post to this list. There are likely others in the are closer than me who can lend you some gear to test with. We can also help you with path plot analysis if you can send us very accurate GPS coordinates and height above round at that location fo your planned test or permanent antenna using information from Radio Mobile Online (get a free account with our ham callsign). I live in Belfair and would like to learn how to connect to a Hamwan site. I have an antenna that mounts on the truck hitch. It has wireless xyx movement capability to search for a site while inside the truck. Is there anyone in my area that knows this stuff that would want to get in the truck with me and search for a connection? No hurry on this but would be a fun day and I want to learn. Belfair is going to be a challenge as it's in a bit of a hole. You need line of site to a sector at one of our cell sites which you can see on the map at hamwan.org. The sites are documented in more detail under Sites at the bottom of the page. Can you see Buck Mountain? That is likely the closest site to you. -Doug-, KD7DK HamWAN NetOps On Sat, Jun 8, 2024 at 6:43 AM Jerry N7YGE <n7yge@hctc.com> wrote:

Yes, this is the list you posted to. What Doug was recommending is that you create a free account here (Radio Mobile Online) with your callsign: https://www.ve2dbe.com/rmonline_s.asp Navigating that site is not that easy but it can be figured out if you’re methodical about it. Put in your GPS coordinates and height of your antenna and it will give you a pretty coverage map for your location. I’ll leave the equipment question open for people who might be closer. I’m in Renton. You can also do path plots to HamWAN locations which are available on the website with precise GPS coordinates and the antenna heights at those locations though you may need to hunt through the text or view the pictures to figure out that part. -Doug- On Sun, Jun 9, 2024 at 11:36 AM Llew Roberts <llew@llew.net> wrote:
