perhaps it has nothing to do with leak, what if it has to do with vaporor seals and plastics used? john -- john and carol diaz On Sunday, March 5, 2017 12:00 PM, "psdr-request@hamwan.org" <psdr-request@hamwan.org> wrote: Send PSDR mailing list submissions to psdr@hamwan.org To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://mail.hamwan.net/mailman/listinfo/psdr or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to psdr-request@hamwan.org You can reach the person managing the list at psdr-owner@hamwan.org When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of PSDR digest..." Dispensing the contained fluids has never been a problem here. Any study of applied physics will greatly benefit anybody and everybody as I'm sure you already know, Bart. Thanks for your dedicated work along these lines. I'm working with Bob who you already work with, on a Gold Mtn. D-Star repeater install. Who do I contact off-group for our router port-forwarding needs at that site, please? Thank you, Tony W7EFS On 03/03/2017 05:59 PM, Bart Kus wrote:
Hello,
I would like to bring 40 gal of fuel up to Haystack tomorrow. To transport this, I'll need 8 5-gallon cans. I would like to leave half of these up at the site for easy re-fueling in the future without the need to drag a fresh gas can all the way up on a snowmobile. We're lucky to have a snow cat available tomorrow to do the heavy lifting.
I'll buy these out of pocket tonight, and will keep the receipt for billing HamWAN later.
Cost should be ~$160. These will be clearly marked as HamWAN assets for future re-use elsewhere if needed.

Unfortunately, as of Friday the generator is out of fuel. Bart, Bruce, and one or two others (I didn’t catch the names), made a heroic effort today to get onsite with snowmobiles and a snow cat to refuel the tanks, and repair the solar charging problems, but were stymied by snow conditions, and were not able to reach the site today. Considering the limited solar functioning, and the clear weather today, we had a pretty good day, but the forecast doesn’t look promising for keeping that up. I’ve shut down our sectors at Haystack to try and conserve some power, so if you normally connect to Haystack, or were looking to try, please be aware that for the moment, the Haystack sectors are offline. We’ll let you know when we’re able to get the sectors back online. Hopefully soon we’ll be able to get more fuel up there, and the extra solar capacity repaired. Thanks again for the efforts of the volunteers that tried to reach the site today. It was a real slog, and the efforts are appreciated.
