VOTE: NetMetal 5 replacement modem for ETiger
Hello, We have ETiger->SnoDEM modem die over the winter. I suspect water ingress into the PCB, but it's hard to tell. We can go replace it on Wednesday next week by the looks of it. So we need 1 RB921UAGS-5SHPacD-NM modem which comes to $153.20 shipped from Streakwave. My vote is Yay. --Bart
Hi PSDR team - I don’t know if this is a good way to communicate with you guys, since I’m new to the group. I just installed a HamWAN setup at my QTH at the north end of Mercer Island. The directions on the website worked very well (just one work around requiring me to remove the existing dhcp client before adding the new one, but that was within my skill set.) System works great. My SNR is about 30dB, so I’m not getting full data rates, but enough to be serviceable. I need to tune the antenna positioning to see if I can improve it. Thanks to your hard work for developing what’s already a highly capable system. We’re in the process of integrating our somewhat extensive WINLINK/WINMOR capabilities on Mercer Island to include HamWAN. So any advice & suggestions will be very welcome. David, Thanks for the report, I’d recommend starting a new thread for separate topics, but I’m glad to see you’re able to connect! Bart, I agree we need to get this replaced, and a new one ordered, as you’ll recall, the board can’t vote via email anymore, so we’ll need to schedule a call for this evening for the board to vote. I’ll send an email to the board momentarily to get this planned. Nigel

I'd still like people to weigh in and be aware of voting though, and our constitution still requires it to be announced to mailing lists, despite the final vote being held @ a board call. Ed, I don't have Prime. If someone else with HamWAN funding + Prime can order it from Amazon for Wednesday deployment (next week) I'm cool with that. It needs to be in my hands Tuesday night. Suggestions like Ed's are a great example of why we should keep folks generally exposed to the decision making process that takes place within HamWAN. :) --Bart On 3/29/2016 12:55 PM, Nigel Vander Houwen wrote:
