You don't need a certificate to ping and traceroute over HamWAN. Let's try to troubleshoot. Can you send the output of /ip export /ip route check 8.8.8.8 Tom KD7LXL On Tue, Aug 21, 2018, 10:07 David Haworth via PSDR <psdr@hamwan.org> wrote:

Looks like the problem is that your modem never got an IP address assigned because it didn't ask for one. On HamWAN that is done with a DHCP client. If you just copy/paste the command from step 22 you should be good to go: https://hamwan.org/Standards/Network%20Engineering/Client%20Node%20Configura... Hi Tom, Thank you for your help. I fixed two fo my error in the configuration that affected the DHCP operation. On 8/27/2018 I was successful in operating my QRT 5 portable to set its time by NTP, ping and traceroute. Back to certificates When do I need to use a certificate on HamWAN? How do I apply for a certificate? How do I install a certificate and verify it is correctly operating? Thank you 73 David Haworth http://www.stargazing.net/david/sdr/HamWAN.html <http://www.stargazing.net/david/sdr/HamWAN.html>
